Whenever I use a product with DEET in it, I get light headed. It becomes a struggle between needing to be rid of the pests and needing to be able to think clearly. I was at a hippy outdoor supply store and asked if they had anything natural for bug repellent, and the kid behind the counter said they only had one thing, and he wasn't really sure how well it worked. I purchased it at elite hippy pricing, and didn't really notice anything special as I waded into the deepest Alabama forests known to man, on a backpacking trip. Afterwards I put all my gear in storage and this little bottle of magic didn't cross my mind for 6 months. After moving to my newly purchased farm I started to notice an increasing issue of gnats and mosquitoes. Being one of those people that tends to have a natural attraction of these creatures I was starting to think I wouldn't be enjoying those days bush hogging and clearing land. Then one day while looking for my mosquito net from my camping gear I stumbled across the bottle. I thought hmm lets just put it to the test. So I went out with bottle in hand and started to setup my lawn for my son's birthday party. We put up a 40 foot slip and slide using tarps and such, so I was out there for about an hour total. The first half I used nothing and was having a hard time of it swatting bugs away. Then I gave up and pulled out the bottle the thought of those hippies laughing at me for spending [...] on a 4 oz bottle of bug spray crossed my mind as I sprayed the lemon smelling liquid into my face.
The effect was instant. The gnats and mosquitoes were gone. I finished my work, and then used it for the party the next day. Again no bug problems, and I offered to spray it on my friends and family as well as their children worry free as it was "All Natural" sure enough everyone enjoyed the day and a few people who didn't get enough the first spraying came back for more as it was clearly working. This little bottle kept about 20 people bug free all day long and turned my lawn from the bug jungle into the garden of eden. Best [...] I ever spent. I haven't been able to find it at any store since, so I am currently ordering about 5 bottles through Amazon. This is one thing I plan to be well stocked up on, in case they ever decide to stop making it.

This worked great! I went camping and it kept away all the mosquitos and flys...you name it! While friends were applying and re-applying products with deet, my husband and I were using a small amount of this and had no problems for hours.

This product protected us in a swarm of mosquitoes on a hike through the woods. The only bites we got were where spray
didn't hit(fingertip, eyebrow). It smells much better than the typical chemical spray and no DEET! We use it at outdoor parties, and end
up passing it around as people find the smell more appealing.

Best natural mosquito repellent, long lasting protection. Usually mosquitoes descend on me, but when I'm sprayed with Lemon Eucalyptus, they stay off. When the rare bite occurs where I missed spraying a spot, it actually itches less and heals faster than usual.
The 4oz bottle is convenient to carry in purse, or on person, and I keep mine with me at all times.
It is described online as protecting against mosquitoes and ticks, and my experience confirms the claim. Since I also need protection from chiggers and mites, I double up with another natural spray which only works on chiggers and mites, and between the two products, have had the most comfortable bite-free summer of my life.
The active ingredient in Lemon Eucalyptus used to be in a former product called Off Botanicals, which had a mild appealing scent. Lemon Eucalyptus, though, has an initial strong lemon scent which becomes unnoticable in a short time. And you can get great protection from mosquitoes and ticks for 6 hours.
I have spread the word to anyone who's fed up with mosquito bites, and now my family relies on it like I do. We had so many mosquitoes this season that I ordered Lemon Eucalyptus twice. And best of all, it does not contain DEET.

I have been using this product for several years up here in New Hampshire, where fighting the black flies and mosquitos are epic struggles for outdoor survival. This is the only product I use for this purpose because: 1) it works quite well, 2) it contains no DEET, and 3) the smell is tolerable. What more can you ask?
